About Us

AOS Swags and Bags is becoming an iconic Australian brand, proudly manufacturing high quality swags, canvas and PVC products in Midvale, Western Australia. Every product we make is a testament to our passion for Australian made quality, built to withstand the toughest conditions Australia has to offer.

Founded over 30 years ago by husband and wife team Darren and Adrienne, AOS began with a vision to fill a gap in the market for high quality swags at a production level for retail supply. Despite having no experience in sewing swags, they invested a $9,000 tax return and poured in long hours, hard work, and unwavering determination. From these humble beginnings, AOS was born with a simple mission to create rugged, reliable gear made right here in Australia. Today, the second generation Brayden and Therese continue to carry the business forward with the same passion for local craftsmanship, innovation, and community.

Being 100% Australian owned and made is at the heart of everything we do. From the materials we choose to the way we manufacture, we’re deeply committed to supporting local industry, Australian jobs, and the proud legacy of Aussie manufacturing.

We also believe in giving back, partnering with Remida Perth to recycle our offcuts and unused materials for use in schools, arts programs, and creative community projects. It’s all part of our goal to leave a positive mark on both the land and the people who use our gear.

Whether you’re off-grid, on the road, or out bush, you can count on AOS products to go the distance because when it’s made here, it’s made tougher.

Who We Are – The Spencer Family

We’re the Spencer family, a close-knit crew with regional roots and a deep love for the great Australian outdoors. Darren and Adrienne met the true Aussie way—at a local watering hole—and from the very beginning, their shared passion for the outback shaped everything they did.

With backgrounds grounded in rural life, they’ve always found joy in camping, fishing, 4WD adventures, and spending time on the water—often living aboard their boat or heading out to stations, farms, and iconic bush events like the Landor Races. Even after starting a family, the adventures never stopped. Together with their children, they’ve explored both inland and coastal Australia, making memories on the road that still continue today.

As a family, we don’t just build gear for the outback—we live it. From bush tracks to boat decks, the Spencer family lives and breathes the lifestyle that AOS gear is built for.
